WordPress Version 2.9 Released

The latest version of WordPress (WordPress.org) – version 2.9 – has just been rolled out to users. WordPress is used by hundreds of HU users. To find out more about WordPress please our WordPress Web Hosting page.
This release is called “Carmen” and includes a number of notable additions, including the beginnings of a WordPress
image editing tool (cropping, scaling, and rotating), simpler video embeds, and batch plugin updating that should save you a bunch of time.
Writing on the official WordPress blog, founder Matt Mullenweg says that this release saw a total of “over 500 tickets, bugs, and enhancements” addressed. The release comes a little more than six months since the last major WordPress release, version 2.8.

While this update is not critical, it does add greater functionality to your WordPress driven website. Upgrading to WordPress 2.9 is optional to HU WP Users.
